The Motivating factor was not to urge to lead or rule, not even the desire to commit. The group envisioned an organization capable of making everyone welcome and feel accepted. It would teach the second generation of Filipino-Americans, our children, their heritage, promote goodwill and showcase Philippine customs and traditions to mainstream American society.

The Filipino-American Association was issued a certificate of Incorporation, signed and verified by the Secretary of the State of
